Motherboard, Processor and Memory form the main components of a computer system

Motherboard is the main circuit board of a computer. It contains connectors and ports for attaching additional boards and peripheral devices. It has multiple controller chips on the motherboard to control standard devices such as keyboard, disk drive, etc. All the controller chips together are called as chipset.
